Some new photos in the gallery from yesterday’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards – Nominees Reception.

he emotional episode where Chloe learns of daughter Delia’s leukemia diagnosis earned Elizabeth Hendrickson her very first Daytime Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress, and she couldn’t be more excited! Liz submitted that episode for judging because she felt it had a full arc and let her “show a lot of range.” She also credits the writing and “my great supporting actors who supported me through the entire day” for helping her deliver the nomination-worthy performance. “Everything was just wrapped up in this neat little package,” she said.

Liz and her mother, who lives in New York, watched the nominations announcement together via FaceTime, until the broadcast stopped with the Best Actor category and they had to go online to discover the good news. A lot of screaming ensued on both coasts!

Liz reports that Executive Producer Maria Arena Bell was the first to call and congratulate her. A slew of castmates have texted “love and congratulations,” including Billy Miller, Greg Rikaart, Christel Khalil and Michael Muhney.

Perhaps not surprisingly, considering that Liz’s character Chloe is something of a fashionista, Liz said that she’ll start looking tomorrow for something to wear to the June 23rd ceremony. Choosing an outfit “is my favorite part every year,” she said, but this year will be “extra special.”
